What Pathways Does Wonder Dog Offer?
Puppy, Dog & 2-dog Pathways
Our pathways break into three, depending on whether the dog is younger or older than 6 months or if there is multiple dogs.
Our PUPPY PATHWAY is typically for families who have GOALS for their dog and want to get ahead of the ball so that the dog grows up on the right track and becomes a good citizen within their family life.
Our DOG PATHWAY is typically not as much for families with goals, but for families with FRUSTRATIONS and want to get their dog in line with the family culture.
Yes, they are both the same thing, but the emphasis matters to what the client thinks they need and what they think they are buying.
Our 2-DOG PATHWAY is for families who may come to us with either GOALS for their puppies or FRUSTRATIONS from their dogs. Only difference between this pathway and the others is that there is multiple puppies or dogs that are training with us.
Notice: Because words matter so much, notice that we don’t sell time, or bundles, or packages, or sessions. We offer “programs” and set “lessons” and guarantee “results.” These exact words matter, you’ll see as we go along!
What Programs Does Wonder Dog Offer?
ON-LEASH
This is our most basic program. We visit weekly, fix the behavior problems that we can, give them instructions on how to fix the ones that we can’t re-create during the lesson, and then train the dog and family in the 7 basic commands: sit, down, stay, come, heel, place & release. It typically takes 3-5 lessons to do this, and is accelerated when they family does the 20 minutes of daily practice and comes out to the Games.
ON-LEASH PLUS
This is our in-between program. Families who choose this program have a dog that doesn’t need off-leash training but has problem behaviors that may be a little more complex than what our on-leash program can help address. For this program, we also visit weekly, fix the behavior problems using the remote collar primarily, give them instructions on how to fix the ones that we can’t re-create during the lesson, and then train the dog and family in the 7 basic commands: sit, down, place, stay, come, heel & a release word. This program also takes about 3-5 lessons to achieve the goals, and is accelerated when they family does the 20 minutes of daily practice and comes out to the WD Games &Events.
OFF-LEASH
This is the same program as above, with the remote collar, but often with several more lessons added into the schedule. This allows the dog and family to learn obedience to the commands at a distance so that eventually the family will have the freedom of the “Off-Leash Life.” Perks of the off-leash program are the dog staying within the boundaries of the yard to bigger things like walks in the park, hikes in the forest, Wonder Dog Games and even going into stores and festivals with tons of people and distractions.
