Why We Network In The First Place
There are a Few different reasons WHY we network.
#1. Help The Industry and Local Businesses
#2. To get more clients and deals at a lower cost
#3. Longer Term Strategy and Vision, we hope to create a network and mastermind of local businesses we can do larger events in the cities we operate. Events like city wide games, dog festivals, etc. Where we bring other businesses in and Wonder Dog is at the center.
1) To Help The Dog Industry and Local Businesses
Easier Leads For All & Reduced Marketing Costs
Since we are all selling to the exact same dog lovers who have money to spend on their “babies,” we might as well refer our clients to each other, which reduces ad spend and marketing costs for all of us, especially since word-of-mouth referrals cost less and convert easier.
Mutually-Helping One Another Makes All of Us Better
As we all grow our businesses together, we will hopefully be learning from one another and will all get better at helping families with their dogs (which is hopefully the mission for all of us).
Sharing Clients Eventually Exposes Who the Riff-Raff’s Are So That Sub-Par Service Providers Get Excluded From the Network Over Time
As we get to know each other, and the feedback comes back around to each of us, we will learn who we should NOT be referring clients to so that we can steer them towards our partners in the network that to whom we should be referring clients.
2) To Get More Clients and Deals
BEST KNOWn BEATS BEST EVERY TIME
Well simply this, the best known in any market beats the best in the market. Lucky for us, we are the best. But that isn't enough. We have to be the best known. Lucky for us, when people meet us we are able to get them to buy into what we do quickly and easily.
CONTACTS = CONTRACTS
Pretty straight forward principle here. The more people we meet, the more we get recommended. The more people we know and that know us the more we get referrals back to us. The more hands we shake, the more money we make!
Referral deals close EASY.
When do people in our network refer us? When their customers/clients/patients/etc. ask "Who do you recommend for dog training?" Well, ask yourself this, why are they asking that retailer/daycare/vet/etc? Because they TRUST AND VALUE the opinion of that business. Right? And if they pass out our info then that means the person automatically trusts us. That is the idea and key of networking. To be the trusted source people know to refer clients and dogs to.
Referral deals are CHEAP (well cheaper than the $1000's we spend on advertising.)
Referral Deals Are CHEAP.
No matter the city we are in, we are the biggest advertiser on search engines people look up dog training on. Period. Now to be able to do that, that costs THOUSANDS each month. Now don't get me wrong, this is money we are HAPPY to spend to be able to get in front of dog owners who desperately need our services. BUT referral and network deals are much cheaper to get and this is a HUGE help to the business. This is why we invest in sending you to the businesses and nice lunches/breakfast for them when they refer us deals.
3) Longer Term Strategies & Vision
But we can't do any of this without you there on the ground doing the work and meeting the people!!
